Crestron Tutorial: Set Up Your Crestron SIMPL Windows Interface
When you start a Crestron SIMPL Windows program, SIMPL Windows
will put you into the Configure System mode. (see image
below) Please note that there is a menu route or a tool bar
method to selecting this mode.
Now that we are through configuring the Crestron CP2E control
system, we will need to change SIMPL Windows to the Program
System mode. Please note that there is a menu route or a
tool bar method to selecting this mode.
Your screen should now look like this:
Remember, you can get back to the Configure System mode
by using the methods described in the first image. You can now
see that in the Program System mode, SIMPL Windows starts up
with three panes. You will see the Symbols Library, Program
View and the Detail View.
Symbol Library
The Symbol Library contains all of the symbols for your project.
These can come from the Crestron Symbol Database, other projects
on your computer or even symbols that you create.
Program View
The program view is where you will arrange the Symbols for this
project. Already, this folder contains your Crestron CP2E processor
and CT-1550 touch panel.
Detail View
The Detail View is a dynamic window where you will open your
symbols to add or edit signals and device parameters.
